Who we are
This site is run by P&M Carpets Ltd, an independent flooring shop based at 212-216 Picton Road, Liverpool, L15 4LL. For privacy questions, write to us at info@pandmfloors.co.uk or phone 0151 734 3947. We are the data controller for any personal information you give us.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to give you a quote and fit your floor:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email — when you book a measure or ask for a quote.
- Notes about the rooms and floors you'd like fitted.
- Payment details for completed jobs (handled by our payment provider — we don't store card numbers ourselves).
We don't use website analytics or tracking cookies at this time. If we add them later, we'll update this page and ask for your consent through a cookie banner before any non-essential cookies are set.
Why we use it
We use your information to give you a quote, arrange the home measure, fit the flooring, take payment, and answer follow-up questions. The lawful bases we rely on under UK GDPR are contract (to provide the service you've asked for) and legitimate interests(to run the business — e.g. record-keeping and after-sales support). We don't use your details for marketing unless you've specifically asked us to.
Who we share it with
We share information only when we have to: with our fitting team to arrange access; with our payment provider to take payment; with our accountant for HMRC and tax purposes; and with any third party that the law requires us to share with. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with marketing companies.
How long we keep it
We keep job records for as long as the law requires us to (typically six years for HMRC). After that we either delete them or anonymise them. Quotes that don't turn into jobs are usually deleted within twelve months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information (when there's no legal reason to keep it).
- Object to the way we're using it, or ask us to restrict use.
- Ask for your data in a portable format.

Updates to this policy
We'll update this page if we change anything material — for example, if we start using website analytics or take payments through a new provider. The date at the top of the page shows the last revision.
